yeah, I walked over the bridge last night too, dawgg. Took me 2 hours to get home. But it wasn't as cold as I thought it would be. I'm feeling all that walking in my feet & legs today though... I'll start riding my bike tomorrow. The weekend weather looks good. Possible temps in the 50's...
I used to be big into "unions", trying to help the average joe, but after watching all the corruption that went on with the firefighters union here and feeling that its NOT to help the little guy, but the big wigs of the politcal machine, I have started to find things like this almost intolerable. This has got to be illegal and does nothing but screw up the economy of the city without giving a shit about the families of those working folks and their families not working in transit. I hate to say it, but I no longer feel the "union brotherhood" and hopes this bites them in the ass for messing up others holidays thinking about themselves. bunch of hypocrites.
Dawgg, hate to hear about this affecting you. its the ordinary joe that gets caught up in these kind of messes. Hope all goes well and you complete your mission and all gets back to normal soon. someone should make it known that the average person in NY doesnt support this kind of crap

On the way back, planes are going empty. American Airlines had to issue some special fare for today and tomorrow to try to fill seats....
